Sharing access for a SolarEdge system
To report your SolarEdge system's production for SRECs, we connect to your monitoring site to read its energy data each month. There are a few ways to share access, below.
Option 1 — Share your SolarEdge login credentials
If you're comfortable, you can share your SolarEdge username and password with us, and our team will gather your production data each month.
Option 2 — Share reporting access with us
You (or your installer) can give our team access using the email [email protected].
If you're doing this yourself:
Select "Add a new user to my existing monitoring site"
Set the user role to Site User
Set account permissions to Full Access
In our experience with a few customers, SolarEdge has sometimes asked for a $99 fee to add a user. You can usually avoid it by making clear to SolarEdge's team that you only want to share monitoring access — we do not recommend paying this fee if you're prompted for it.
Option 3 — Send production screenshots
You can send us screenshots each month showing the previous month's total production from your SolarEdge app. At the beginning of each month, our system automatically emails you a request for it.
If we need several months of historical data, our system sends a separate email request for each month (this can be frustrating).
To avoid that, you can temporarily share your login credentials so we can collect all the historical data at once — then change your password afterward.
