Registering Combined, Upgraded, or Multiple Solar Panel Systems

When you are registering your system and an upgrade was done, or there are multiple systems. Please note that, along with registration details, we may need to set up additional access for production data reporting.

Question: If I have had an upgrade done, how do I sign up my system? Do I sign up my full system?

Answer: The best approach depends on whether the full system is operational, which state your system is located in, and if the original system is already registered for SRECs

  • If the original system has already been registered for SRECs, you should sign up that system with us first. We’ll then transfer your existing SREC registration into our management. Once that’s complete, our team can help you add the upgrade to your existing registration..

  • If the original system has not yet been registered, the next steps depend on your state and whether the full system is operational:

    • For Virginia: If the upgrade is complete and operational, sign the full system up together as one. If the upgrade is not yet complete, sign the original system up first, and then we'll update the registration once the new panels are added.

    • For all other states: We recommend signing the existing system up first. Our team can then update the existing registration to include the upgrade once we have the necessary documentation to do so.

Question: What if I have 2 or more systems?

Answer: If you have multiple systems, we may recommend signing them up as one, or as separate systems. The best approach depends on a few factors:

  • Whether the systems are at the same address and share an interconnection point

  • Which state your systems are located in

  • Whether the systems are already registered for SRECs

  • How the systems report production data:

    • Together in the same monitoring account

    • Separately in the same account

    • Separately in different accounts

Once we know these details, we can determine the best way to register your systems for SRECs.
